I called mitsu about the heater knob..

Ok so i called mitsu just now about the heat knob that brakes on just about every lancer..He told me it would cost 2k give or take few to fix this problem. So i said f*** that. But im taking it in saturday for him to look at it. I told him it was a technical service bulliton. But i dont know what will happen so its going in on sat and ill find out whats gonna happen. It seems like some people say they fix the problem and others say they wont. My warrenty is over so i think im screwed but i dont know we will see.

Mine is completely botched and I had it "fixed" like 2 months ago. I can't adjust the temperature at all, which is just super in the weather we have up here. It's stuck at warm so I can't defrost my windshield, I have to do it using wiper fluid.

If everyone has this problem why dont they make it a recall? Its obvious that they are all suck to start with.

What you can do is call your Dealer and Tell them you want to run a check to see if every open recall has been taken care of on your car.

I just did, and it's all been taken care of.
