question for automatic owners
just woundering what your normal cruising RPM's are when your on the freeway.
mine tend to be around 3k when not accelerating

haven't really paid attention to that, but i'd say its around 2 to 2 1/2 rpm

@ what speed?

I usually cruise around the freeway at 85-90 MPH with an RPM of about 3.5k or 4k (Alot of hills where I live so my RPMS will be higher than normal).

their must be something wrong with my lancer cause going 85mph my rpm's are dialed at 4.25-4.5

all i know is that at 3000 rpm, my lancer goes at 75mph. hope that helps

doin 80 on the highway im at about 3500 maybe less ive been cruisin at 110 and it was chillin at about 5k

My auto does 3000rpm @ 70mph and about 3200rpm @ 75mph, that's with my stock size 195/60/15 tire.

That's a little high. I'm around 4000 rpms at 85 with intake, header, exhaust, and 205/40/17 tires.

3 sounds and should be right some of u guys might have totally screwed your cars, gears are the same for all of us and our rpms at 60 on idle should be below 3k
