Anyone know who this is?
Rally Car
Hi Guys,
That's my rally car. I have been a member here for a while but seem to only come on when I', looking for something or have a problem.
The car is the 2002 championship winning car that Lauchlin O'Sullivan drove for Rhys Millen. I bought the car in 2004 from Rhys, and have raced it ever since.
On a side note Rhys and all the guys at RMM have been fantastic, they have helped me a ton.
The car is set up for Group 2 /M2, meaning it is FWD and has the original motor in it. The motor was a basically stock engine with a header and ported head. It made 117 hp on the dyno. Where we win is with handling. This car has Proflex suspension and is very well sorted. It is also tuff as nails. We have driven this car HARD over roads you would never want to drive your street car on and it just takes it.
I am getting ready to put a Ralliart motor in it, but that is turning out to be a bigger challenge than I originally thought. I ran Lauglin this year and broke the crankshaft 4 miles into 120 mile race. I have another stock motor and we are going to use that at the Sandblast Rally in SC next month. If anyone is in the area, come look us up.
As far as Rallying goes, I used to road race until the first time I tried to drive a rally car. 100% more fun, twice as hard and twice as expensive. I have more fun in the rally car than in any other race car I have ever been in. And you get to take your buddy along for the ride! Huge fun.
I will try and figure out how to post some pictures of the car this week, if anyone is interested.
Thanks
Brad

Rally Car
Hi guys,
One more thing, not sure if this is the right place to ask, so if need be could the moderator please move it. I am always in need of stock OZ wheels. Obviously they don't need to be real pretty, but they do need to be straight. Anybody got any laying around at a reasonable price, let me know.
Also, if anybody needs any advice on how to get started, I would be happy to help.
Thanks
Brad

thats awsome. Do you do any of the SCCA rally events. they hold them up in maine. all classes. I try to make it to the huge summer rally and winter rally here in maine. Its awsome. Love to see a Lancer doing it. Id love more pics, and any info on your susp setup and such. The fact that your using the stock motor and completely going all out rallying and its holding up makes me happy. big thumbsup!
Also, you should update us with your status during the year (pics and rankings). I would be very interested to see how you do and whats going on with your team/car throughout the rally season.
