Where did our tech forums go?

Nevermind... they consolidated them... please change it back.

I don't like it either. But yeah, that's how it is now. When you click on the tech forums link, it takes you to the list.

 

Why did they change it?

Presumably to keep the 2008+ tech separate from the 2002-2007. The model years are different enough to rate separate subsections, IMO.

 

That's my assumption too. I wasn't told, but it seems very reasonable.

 

Because the new lancer is competely different in many ways, I thought a seperation would be easier. Once the car comes out, you'll see what I mean.

 

We get that. I think it's just the layout that troubles some people. Takes some getting used to, and it's an extra click.

 

I'm sure it'll take some time, but just like the new lancer, we all need to evolve to new and better things. Sorry about the cheesy one liner. I had to throw something in.

 

Also if anyone else has some suggestions to make the new setup better, please let me know.

 

Can you make small sub-menus under the main category? Like list the Tech sections, or at least the main ones underneath? Like this:
02-07 Tech Section
Forced Induction, Engine Tech, Tuning, More...

 

 

how about a totally new section for them
like we have for the ralliart. i mean it is a very very different car, so a whole new section would be good. it's not like the 08's are gonna have anything in common with the older models.
It's like us with the mirage guys, only 10x more.

Sorry for the late response. I've been busy joy riding with the new 08 lancer.

Thanks for the suggestions. My only problem with adding a new completely new section is I don't want the main forums to be a mile long. I'm trying to get everything in and to get the main forum listing as small as possible. Once the new evo comes out I would have to add a new section for it if I followed the same rule. By the time it's all said and done, the lower sections will never be seen again.
