no offense, dick, but like I said, I was clueless, I didnt even know who to call. And I wasn't asking for you to guess, I was asking for people with past experience with the same thing. That's what online forums are for. Does that make sense to you, really?

unnecessary... i mean there are plenty of threads asking how to or about reviews on things that i am sure are posted on websites.. but why wouldnt he ask prices that other people may have paid so he doesnt get ripped off.. but again, unnecessary

Not intentionally. The new rules say that we have to give "infraction" points when users break the rules. He already earned enough for a short ban.

since you're talking about paint...any guesstimates on how much it would cost to re-clear coat a cf hood? the shops close to me don't do it...

Get a can of clear coat remover $10 - 15... Then probably a quality UV protected clear. Of course this is DIY; but as long as you have the room, why not?
