Could always have the muffler cut off the Buschur and make a custom setup, might save you some money.

That's true. I do like the muffler cuz it's a fairly small tip and looks kinda sleeperish in my bumper cutout. It's a Magnaflow.

Looks sleeperish. Unless the car is on and they can hear it in another county...

That's true. But, everyone looks around like "where is that god-awful noise coming from". And I just smile and wave.

On a somewhat related note. I've noticed on a lot of cars there are exhausts that go underneath the rear axle. Is this for any reason? I really like when the exhaust goes underneath and comes out crooked

I wanted to see if this was possible with a custom catback setup.

Depends on the setup. I'm pretty sure that if you did that, the piping would hit the ground. The Lancer control arms are pretty low to the ground.

The reason for the angle is that it straightens flow. On many exhausts, the piping makes an S-curve to work around the axle. When it comes out crooked, it just takes a 45-degree bend. So the air can flow easier.

Yea that's true. Plus when I lower my car it would probably hit the ground real bad.

It is pretty big. I will probably make my next exhaust a little smaller as well as actually fit over the sway
