the EVO is coming !!!
I was flipping through the July issue of Stuff mag. and I saw a pic of the Evo in a side bar with some info. Here is what it said:
Last week, Mitsubishi called me about a nasty little somthing called EVO III that they have slated for 2003. Naturally I asked them, "Can I record one sho on it while I watch another?" And they copped an attitude! Turns out you cant record anything with a four wheel drive, 280-hp rally-ready sedan, except maybe good lap times around the Wal-Mart parking lot.
I am glad I didnt order the WRX like I was going to today. I now have about a year to pay off my Civic.

Thing i dont get is why they refered to it as "Evo III", and not Evo-VII, or Evo-VIII or somthing like that. Seems a bit too fishy to me...and as we all know, "Stuff" magazine is THE automotive authority.
Im not holding my breath untill the Evo-VIII comes out, and see if the design can pass US DOT front impact standareds. Then ill get excited.

HisXLNC, You'd buy a new Sentra over an EVO or WRX?
As for the EVO VII, I think it will probably be here within the next few years. Will it be a full blown 280 hp EVO though, or detuned for US gas and emissions, that's my biggest question. Also, if it's a full blown EVO it will be expensive. Defidently over $30k.

I am guessing the III was a misprint.
