2008 Lancer GTS Coming in Tomorrow
This isn't a dealer car. Mitsu sent us the car to review and have some fun with. So basically we have some limited time with the car and I just wanted to make sure everyone got to see what they wanted to see.
If possible, I'd like to see a comparison of two 1/4 mile runs. One with the paddle-shift, the other with the car in auto. Would also like your feedback on how fast the shifts are with the paddle, and if there's much of a difference between that and leaving the car in CVT auto.
I would like to know at what RPM the MIVEC kicks in on this model I havent got into the throtle yet break in for the motor says 300 miles but i am going to give it around 500 before I stomp it dont want to damage the goods early but heard that taking it easy for the break in period is a really good on aluminum blocks.

I was reading an article on the BMW (CVT vs. Auto trany) and the CVT was almost a full secong quicker in 0-60 time but that was compared to automatic and it WAS A BEEMER but, I still think the stick would have to be quicker, rule of thumb was u lose 15-30% power in an auto matic and CVT is still an automatic. Granted it is a new kind of automatic so i am glade u asked for that info OTTER never thought to ask that so

[QUOTE=xga;4193928]Could you tell us how the tire pressure information is displayed to the driver? Is there just a low tire pressure warning light on the dash or is more detailed tire information displayed on the LED screen?[/QUOTE
There is only a low pressure light that comes on in the instrument cluster no details doesnt even tell u what tire just lets u know that one of the four is low. Good enough for me I use to have to check them with out a warning and usually the wernt low so now i dont have to check them that often

^ I see, I too am curious about it as well. All I know is that you dont have to insert the key in the ignition for there is some kind of knob in there. So if anyone would like to chime in.
LOOK here for fast key info

This site shows a little picture of the fast key on the right side and tells u what u want to know.

I'm planning on trading in my STi for the new GTS in the next month or so mostly cause of the STi's EXTREMELY crappy gas mileage (i avg 14 mpg), my ultra high insurance premium (and i got a perfectly clean record), lower payments and higher reliablity.
To the new owners, any pictures of the interior at night time with the dashboard/cluster lights on?
How's the suspension on the car, meaning while going over bumps? My STi rattles like hell and the suspension is stiff like a rock (stock) i'm sure if i was to have eggs in my car, they'd shatter instantly.
Is it even worth getting the upgraded sound system or is it cheaper/better for me to replace the speakers with a different brand (ie. Pioneer, Alpine, etc)? Only thing that bothers me is the intergrated headunit in the center console, meaning i can't put my own headunit and run an Amp (or can i?)
