The article said the P1 couldn't hold a candle to the Evo. The Audi was more plush, but lacked in the performance department thanks its bulkiness.

Heh, this is only the GSR version (the slowest and heaviest Evo).
The RS version and all the Extreme and RS450 versions kick even more butt. Can you say 0-100mph in less than 9 sec for the RS450 ?

There was an article in a german magazine called "SportsAuto" that did a comparison between the Evo 6 RS-2 and the Audi S4 on the Nurburging.
No contest there as well.
The Evo spoiler provides a significant downforce at high speed whereas the Audi had a lifting effect.
