sorry i missed the part that he cut it off already. cutting it just doesnt feel right. like i said $25 is fast to get over with. i bought my element antenna and i thought it was too much but after a few days, im over it and i liked my new antenna. plus its better looking.

well i bought a shorty for $13 via ebay. i just need it there for looks. i don't use the radio at all.

i bought it cause i just didn't like the "rough edge" look it had after cutting it. i know that some of you will think that no one would notice it, but i would every time i look at it. i'd be much happier knowing that it's rounded off and "factory" looking, and not a cheap way out. sorry assassin, no offense to you, but i just didn't like it.

word up

i cut my antenna and glued a wire cap on the end. reception is zero... but it looks nice, haha.

i may buy a shorty antenna that actually works since they broadcast locally at autox events... and even with the transmitter maybe 100 yards away my radio wasn't picking up jack.

^ yeah but I like the way it looks cut off. I had mine off for a long time until I found it in my friends driveway (was drunk one night and was using it as a sword) so I put it back on and cut it.

p.s. I was not driving drunk...I was just out by my car drunk. lol

Perrin isn't exactly Rays Eng. A knock off will work just as fine.

actually, our cars can run without antennas and still catch the radio. mine went as far as working in the tunnels.

You might be able to find a black short screw or plastic cap with a stub on it that could fit in the hole so cover up the threads from a hardware store or home depot or something.
