Price on Dryer? Who to call?

I think I got my Lancer back. The owner is saying that the dryer went bad right after fixing the condensor.

If I change the dryer, will I need to replace something else?

Also, how much and how hard are they?

Chances are, if the condensor (or any other part) was replaced, moisture got into the system. When that happens, everything has to be evacuated with a vacuum evacuation system. That will take out all of the coolant, oil, and any moisture that has gotten into the system. The moisture in the system would be the cause of the dryer going out and is probably starting to wear on the seal and the compressor.

I would just go ahead and take it to the dealership. Unless you are in a fairly large city, most smaller repair shops won't have the system that is needed for this operation. They will need to replace the dryer, evacuate the system, and then recharge and leak test everything. As far as cost goes... it will be right on target with the rest of dealership service prices: Arm, Leg, and First Born.
Realistically, I'd imagine around $700

DAMN!

The Compressor is pretty new. It was leaking from the condenser but that was just replaced about a week ago. But when leak was fixed, and A/C was ready to start again, all the coolant leaked from that little BOV on the compressor.

Apparently because the dryer froze up. This is what I was told so IDK

Yeah, just don't run the a/c or defroster until it is fixed and it will minimize damage to the compressor and seals. Bottom line though, I think you will have to take it to the stealer.. uh hum... dealership.
