Ground wire for 03 Lancer

I've been reading, people said its smoothen out their idle etc. as well as slight increase in their electrical systems, brighter lights this and that. I was wondering are all ground cables the same? or can I just buy the ebay ones for like 20 bucks, and it'll have the same effect?

yeah.... It wont really help your electrical system. All you can do there is uograde the altinator or the pulleys. Grounding kit bonuses are basically wishful thinking.

They do piiiirty up the engine bay though.

The purpose is to even out the electrical charge between everything in the car, making everything more efficient. I agree that they do next to nothing. I didnt feel a difference when i put mine on. It was like 10 bucks off of ebay tho, so i gave it a shot =P.

I was under the impression that this helped if you have that problem (like me) where you clutch in and the revs drop really low, lights dim, and then bounce back up again?

Uh mine didn't do that stock so I have no idea whether it'll help. I didn't notice anything significant when I put my kit in.

A bigger ground (0/1 gauge) will DEFINATELY help if you are planning some boom in the trunk...

i recently installed a bellon voltage stabilizer. not for the claimed benefits but becuz my car tends to shock me. like static electricity kind of shock. i used to think it was just me but wasnt getting shocked by any other vehicles. so i popped this in and i dont get zapped no more.
point is, is that stuff like that does work, just not the way companys try to claim. hp increase/gas mileage etc...

I always had the idea that helping your car ground better will make your electrical better. Hint hint- more energy for a greater spark from spark plug.
