20,800 - GTS w/ CVT, Sun & Sound, Nav Tech packages included. Rally Red. With MD tags & taxes it came to 22k total.

Dealer even threw in the cargo organizer (not exactly an expensive item).

I went in for a quote today for a GTS 08' with both packages and I was given a price of 24k w/ taxes and fees. That's a nonoooooooo.... but we didn't really sit down to talk with the price so it should be like the price above.

If anyone knows, how big of a difference can a dealer give if the person was to pay in full/cash for the car?

I'm also planning to get a gts w/ both packages, but i'm still researching on the price.

^^ i noticed you live in new jersey. i purchased my GTS in Rahway, New Jersey. The dealer is called Bell Rahway Mitsubishi. Because my family never had difficulty with them, and they are easy to negotiate with, we purchased 4 mitsubishi vehicles from Rahway Bell (Montero sport limited `00, Galant ES `01, Lancer ES `03, Lancer GTS `08) . I got my GTS with bluetooth for $17,800 but w/o navigation package & sun and sound. Imo, i think its a pretty good price. Try getting a quote from them.

And that was what really swung it. Another Mitsu dealer was quoting me 22,615 which is MSRP according to Mitsu's website. Mazda dealer wanted 22k for a Mazda 3 that was equipped with everything except the GPS and the music server. That was nuts and they wouldn't budge; Mazda must have plenty of business these days since they won't deal. Mustang came in a close second - if they had a bit more rear leg room it would have really been a tough decision at the time. Now that I've had the Lancer for a week though I wonder why I thought it was a tough decision; the Lancer is simply a dream to drive and I love it. I am SOOOOO glad I bought it.

I would definitely recommend getting quotes from other dealers. If I had stuck with the dealer recommended by Sam's Club and not asked around I'd have paid almost 2,000 more for the car. I found a nice little dealer - Renn Kirby, here in Frederick - that was more than happy to have my business and cut me a good deal.

No you can get a GTS 5 speed 18,125 or sumthing like that after handling charges...the MSRP is 17,500 plus the 625 handling charge....but still neg. cuz invoice is like 16,600 and with the CVT its like 17,600.

That was a good deal since the Sun and Sound is Aight really....nothing to die for really, for that money i can get a better sound system and ill live without the sun roof. What is your payments at tho??? I got qouted at Bell Mitsubishi a week ago but i am waiting on the Evo X now or Ralliart if it comes out.
Also when you get it? Reason being they had some with leather interior there too. Pretty neat.

Bell Mitsubishi of Rahway, NJ is my favorite Mitsu dealership in NJ, most of the sales people don't jump on you like a bunch of hungry wild animals, they actually listen and are more laid back, service is also pretty good although the wait times sometimes kill me. Anyway, if you want a good deal it always helps to have purchesed some previous car from them before and also talk to one of the managers/owners there named Mike, he will get you a better deal than the regular sales people. Currently Mitsu offers 3.9% APR loan for 48 Months on the new Lancer which is not that bad. I've also seen the new fully loaded Lancers with leather but the price was like above $24K.

There is another Mitsu dealership in North Plainfield (Global Mitsubishi) but idiots there have installed stupid little line art on the side of most of their new Lancers and some door guards (little piece of plastic) and they freaking charge $900 more for that add-on (I am more than sure they'll lower the price when you bargain a bit but still it looks very very cheap, they shouldn't have done that).

Not really sure about the payments, my parents are handling that. they bought it for me as a graduation gift, but i'll also be paying a certain amount to help out. i got my GTS April 28.

Thats before they add taxes title and license o yea and some damn Dealer Prep crap what ever that is! Anyways i was also told about 300 a month depending on what i put down (2k- 3k) is what im looking toward.

I test drove one... popped my CD into it.... sound system sucks, and stock sound system sucks even more. The stock 02 Lancer stereo system in my car was better than the 08 stock. Now I have my own system.
