There isn't one. The 4G94 tends to do best with NON-synthetic (AKA dino) oils. Honestly, the best thing you can do is this:
Buy the cheapest oil you can find, and change it every 3k religiously.
You're going to get the best bang for your buck that way. Cheap oils are great as long as you're good about changing it on time. The more expensive the oil, the more money you're wasting.

theres a huge debate on this, and no one will have conclusive info on the subject, so I would go with what blacksheep had to say.
However, I have noticed my car has more pickup and runs quieter with synthetic oil. i tested both of them when I first got the car. I do a lot of long distance driving, and a nasty high speed commute in the morning, so I run synthetic. i doubt theres much of any difference between synthetics, but I run royal purple because it's sold pretty cheap nearby and it's the best oil you can buy. am i wasting cash? you bet, but the car runs so quite and like new. peace of mind doesn't have a price in my book

I've used both synthetic and non-synthetic and I prefer non-synthetic. I find the car runs quieter for a longer period of time using non-synthetic. With synthetic it would be whisper quiet at first but over time the lifter noise would become very noticeable.

Wow someone thats smart enough not to buy into the brand name marketing hype mumble jumble !
Just make sure you put 5w30 and not what most dealers have stock now which is 5w20. You have to ask for it or they will put the lighter crap since the newer cars asks for that, another attempt by the car manufactuers to make you engine wear out faster on the account that it is saving micro fractions of fuel so it looks good on the sticker that DOT puts on it for new car fuel consumption.
