Surprised at my Lancer's suspension...

It's very good actually! I have an 02 ES Lancer, and to my surprise it's very good. I was going on a 2 way, 1 lane each road at about 55, when i see a car on the other lane coming, like any other car, I'm pretty cautious about them, as I dont know what can happen. When we come close to eachother, maybe 3 cars distance, they threw a baseball and i quickly turned the wheel to the right and quickly back to the left so i dont go off the road and i dodged it. if i hadnt done that, the baseball would have hit my windshield and definately smashed it. I didnt get their license plate #, but I def. felt like turning around and chasing after their ***.

I just felt like sharing.

haha. Lancers have decent handling for their class. The ES handling is very sloppy with some softer components and not having a rear sway bar. The Lancer is capable of very good handling though. With coilovers and a progress sway/perches.

Have you not ridden in a car with a lot of suspension mods before? The stock Lancer is very sloppy compared to anything with some mods.

At least you dodged the ball. people are lame.

Nope, I've only driven my car, my friends 92 honda, 06 xterra, and a 86 truck lol.

but i felt satisfied that I pulled that off, maybe just because of a quick reflex due to me paying attention to them since I first saw them coming down the road.

So they actually threw it at you? that's a pretty bad offense! I would have turned around, got their plate #, turned around and searched for that ball...

Yea, it would technically be considered as a "Drive by" and "attempted hit and run." but I didn't care too much for it at the moment.

i should learn how to drift/power slide in FWD, that way i can just drift u-turn into their lane. any quick lessons? lol

Atleast you dodged it. I would find the ball but don't touch it. It might still have there finger prints on it.

My OZ with front strut bar and goodyear tripletreads handles way better than corollas, civics, and integras i've driven. It seems like thats one of the few things the lancer really has going for it, besides the price of course. good tires work wonders

Yeah I have a bunch of suspension mods on my lancer, but it takes a lot of tuning to not plow everywhere :x.
