Has anyone seen or heard anything on some new Altezza tail lights or some LED's? Would love to get a carbon fiber or black out on the tails, or swap them out, put some different Altezza lights or some LED's.

 

We have one thread (in the 08 how-to section) about a guy that used the spray tint. Otherwise, nothing yet.

 

I'm also working on an LED setup. More to follow in the coming weeks.

 

I would be interested in a write-up of how to take apart the taillights to custom paint the surrounds.

 

Wonder if RRM is looking into anything for the taillights. Hawkeye, are you looking something to replace the whole tail light unit?

All I'm working on is a custom bulb housing modification.

 

Something like Concept X would be hot as far as tail lights go.

 

if im not mistaken the concept x has all red tail lights just like the lancer

Basically a solid red/white combo that is euro style. I figure the entire taillight would be solid red except for a circle where the reverse is located.

 

Concept X tail lights are these lights. They come with LEDs as well. These would be very nice tail lights for the 08 GTS.

Thats what I'm talking about Lancer, but if you look at the actual production model of the EVO, it does have the same tails as the GTS. But the one's for the concept are sick, thats what I'm hoping for. Especially since that third tail under the spoiler is clear already.

 

Okay so that would be hot. But that's a lot more than I have the cash to design.

 

Well I'm curious to see what you have too Hawkeye. I'm very open and I take time with my decisions on a car mod. I like to have that look that oneone else has.

 

Yeah the Concept-X tail lights look so much better than regular Lancer tails. But the problem with it is that the Concept-X tails have a bit different shape on the bottom, it's not a straight line which would require a trunk modification I believe. Anyway, here ( http://www.lancerregister.com/showpi...ceptx/x06.jpg# ) is a better picture of the taillight of Concept-X, and if someone will ever come out with something similar, please PM me

 

yea, I would be all over that tail light for sure, I would buy those right now. but on that model, it looks like it is slimmer at the bottom, but that was the concept.
