Broken Winshield

Today I walked outside my apt jumped in my car and started it, as I was puting on my face plate I saw it!!! A crack in the middle right hand side of my glass. The thing that I am wondering is how the hell did it get there I didnt hit any rocks that I know of. Also its from the right side out... How is that possible? Unless maybe somebody threw something right in the crack of the window... So first thing this morning I call my local Dealer and get the run around for about an hour just to get pissed off when Im told that its gonna cost 600.00 and if i dont get it from them that my Warranty will be void if water or wind leaks into my car.
So I guess my question is this... Do I get my glass fixed from mitsu and get raped or do I live with the crack and go on a killing spree?

just have your insurance fix it... you dont need to involve mitsu at all... just pay your deductable and have them replace it.

thats just the problem, they said if it gets messed up somehow it will Void my warranty. But I am still gonna look other places, My deductable is 50 bucks so it wont be that bad either way.
Im just pissed off that I have to replace it at all.

you can choose to have your work done where you want. tell your insurance you want it done at the dealer and pay your deductable.

Heres the update: Went to my local Auto glass company and they told me that the 600 glass from mitsu was 77 bucks. However my insurance pays 270 for it, so they are gonna eat my 50 deductable and I get new glass for free! But i wont have my car for a day, but thats not a big deal cause I have been driving my other car for a week anyway!

you should find a new place to get that done, most glass places I know will replace your windshield while you are at work, or where ever you are, so that way you can have your car back for when you get out of work, and not have the hassle of not having the car for the day
