Just installed the shifter bushings and they make a much better difference than I imagined. I haven't gotten to drive the car yet but it feels great running through the gears. It's so firm compared to the squishy stock ones. Makes me want to get the shift-link under-the-hood bushings now to really finish the job.

I also put a little rubber washer underneath the leather boot so now it'll actually stay in place up against the shift knob

What type of grease did you use ? I got some red grease from work but it kind gets a bit runny when it heats up or maybe just over time?

White grease is the best kind to use when installing the short shifter.

That's what I used. White lithium grease I believe

I'd upload a pic for you but I'm on 56k and don't wanna deal with it. Installed, it looks like what you'd think. Your leather shift boot will be flush against the shiny metal knob. If you'd just hurry and install yourself you won't need a pic. Trust me, it's as easy as 1 2 3

Got the shift knob in the mail and it looks great. Fits perfectly with my leather interior just like my old one did. It's a little smaller and its not as heavy as the authority shift knob which is a shame but I think I'll get used to it. Maybe I'll post a pic in a week when I'm off this aweful dial up Can't even upload a damn pic
