Let me say that even though the OZ Rally isnt a rally car its a good car to start off with. The wheels are perfect for it with the size and ride height. You just need some dirt tires to get the most out of them. Plus they give you just enough power to learn how to take the turns. When i went to the rallycross class one of the instructors said how the guys with AWD (STIs and Evos) will use it to save themselves from messing up cause they can just floor it so the car will straighten itself. Id rather have a challenge. Hell when I went the first time i went with my friend in his STI and comparing our best times of the day i was only 2.02 seconds off from his best time and we both won our classes. Now considering how i have FWD and a third of the power that he had it was pretty cool.

Ill try to find the pictures from that day and post them up later

I think Ksport makes a rally suspension for the lancer so that's something to consider. Practice is probably the best thing you can do, a good driver in a slow car is better than a bad driver in a fast car.

Lol, it's never overrated but driver skill is far more important.

Driver skill is key.
But you can have just as much fun with 2WD as with 4WD.

Maybe even more fun since the car doesn't do everything for you.

Otter, Fowlerville is later this year and I think there is one at Bob's family park, but look on Myautoevent.com. I love wating that stuff, the last one I went to watch was way more exciting than any autocross short of Grattan (which is no more).

There's one on Sept. 22nd in Adrian that I was thinking about, since it's not too far from Ann Arbor. I'll definitely at least watch, if I don't participate.

Maybe I'll swing up. That's not too much farther than my cousin's house in Royal Oak...

I still need to hit BeaveRun in PA. From what I've heard, it's an epic experience.

It'd be a great way for you to break in that shiny new car of yours.
