2008 Lancer. Options WE dont get.
Have you guys seen the options that you can get on the new lancer overseas that we cant get here? Just to let you know a few things we can’t get that I would have loved to have. I was looking through the Japan Mitsubishi web site. I don’t speak Japanese but pictures are a world language.
Some of the things that I saw was AWD on the base model, Xenon’s, rain sensing wipers, true light sensing headlights (not just daytime running), Tilting side mirror when you put it in R, chrome for the bottom opening in the grill, Rear view camera, Rear monitor for the Kiddies.
You can see some of these if you go to the world map and look at Jamaica, Malaysia both of their sites are in English. Well there you have it let me know what you think and if anybody is going to be getting any of these parts because I want to find someone who can provide us with these.

they get alot of options but they pay a hell of a price for it as well. when u compare the price difference from here to there u'll be happy with the way our cars are here lol. cus u can even get all that stuff aftermarket and still be cheaper (pretty sure) in price than them over there
I don't think a majority of '08 Lancer owners on this site would actually be in their cars if the pricing we have came close to the overseas pricing. Plain and simple fact is that options and goodies cost money. The American market, by historical trend, refuses to be the one to take on that cost so it's no wonder that Mitsubishi would trim down the model to fit within our budgets. Sad that the way a car is packaged for a certain market is dictated by the market trend of that area and the competition's offerings. I sometimes wonder if people take the saying 'land of the free' a little too literally.
Ya I forgot that Mitsu is a bigger brand overseas so that would have a lot to do with it. I just like the fact that we have factory options that we can replace our parts with. Im not really into replacing something unless it looks stock. I did do some mods on my EVO but I tried to keep them clean.
Little off topic but anyone in the Colorado Springs Denver area with no spoiler and a key hole want to trade for a trunk with a spoiler. Heck of a deal if you ask me. Aqua.

american dudes, you copmlain about features.
look at canada. our cars are usually 25~35% more expensive than cars sold in america. with our money we spend on GTS, we could get a fully loaded JDM 08 lancer AWD (no kidding).
and we get no navigations. talk about sadness and shafted.
