With the Evo X release just around the corner, how many of you 2008 Lancer owners are going to either trade in or privately sell your 2008 for an Evo X within the next year or two?
Personally, I have thought about it and keep thinking about it. As much as I want to, I do realize it's definitely not a financially smart decision, especially for a 20 year old college student!
I'm hoping to pay off the car sooner than stated on my loan, and hopefully around that time make the swap for a new car. For my next car, I definitely want something with more power and AWD would be nice...
Anyhoo, let the voting begin!

I've been tossing the idea around a lot lately. I'm trying to save up and pay off the car fairly quickly, and see if I can't trade in around the time I graduate, or about a year after.
I've also been thinking about the Ralliart too.

I've been strongly considering the possibility of doing this. I just don't know if I could give up that go-kart feeling of the original body though. I'm hoping that my dealership will get some used IX's in once the X's are released so I can hopefully find one in great shape. I can't really pass judgement until I've test driven the X yet though.
I know this is supposed to be for folks running an 08 Lancer (though I don't know how many others realized that, heh) but I am really happy with my IX - especially now that I have started adding go-fast parts.
Also, I have gone from one upside-down vehicle to another and this is where the bleeding needs to stop (luckily I got everything at wholesale or below so it didn't start really hurting until now). I figure if I bide my time for a few years any issues with the X will be worked out. I do like the look of the front and the interior, though the rear doesn't do much for me.

Thanks for the contributions guys!
The only reason I stated '08 in the title is because of the fact that the Evo X is based off of the '08 Lancer and because of this the Evo X has everything the '08 Lancer has, and then some. I know this is the case with all of the Evo's, however as you all know, there has been a HUGE change with the Evo X and it appears that the majority of the people who think the Evo X is simply awesome, are current 2008 owners

exactly what I was thinking... Not a smart move to all to buy a new car and then turn around and trade it on on another new car a year or two down the road. You would be out thousands of $$$.
Hell, you automatically agree to take a bath by leasing a car, but it's a thriving industry...
