That was my best run of the night.

Is that your 0-60?

Nooooo lol. Like I said, if I can figure out the best way to launch it I think I could get into the mid 10's easily. Just with being an auto and having a 4 cyl that has little to no torque, getting off the line is a challenge. From a roll my car is a beast for what it is. Much quicker than it used to be... If you all don't believe me well, that is your all's problem. I have had many people ride in the car and comment on the pull difference between before and after. Also, my friends N/A 5 speed 3kGT KILLS me from a dig but from even the slightest roll I can hold dead even.

Like I said before I think I might race again tomorrow with 1 more mod done and try to tune out my launch and get that down and see what will happen. Will keep you all posted.

Overall, I am definately glad I did all of the modifications. I love it because it is so original. Thanks evolutionm for all your all's support and criticism but the car is DONE. Will do little projects myself. Next step evo, but until then I will enjoy what I have !

Yeah, thats pretty much his 0-60... Hes only crossing the 1/8th at 64.84 MPH...

Thats pretty slow... Still feel like we underestimated that car?

With an Automatic, you really only have 1 option for getting off the line... Brake to floor, gas to floor, let off the brake when you see green...

No way I could brake to floor, gas to floor lol. Brake's couldn't hold that... I will definately try to improve on that time. That was my first run that I posted, my second run was a little slower because the track got slick and I had a hard time catching traction.

Ok I think this combined with Doug's dyno and my dyno puts the nail in the coffin for NA lancers.

If that is your 0-60 man I feel bad for you.

Honestly, I've been trying to get your 0-60 to compare to mine. With all of my mods minus the piggy (which did crap for me) torque braking to 2K I did an average 0-60 of 10.4-10.6

Don't get me wrong! I am not trying to knock you at all! I'm am just so ****ing fed up and tired of the 4G94. I love my Lancer but this motor sucks *****!!!

that is NOT the 0-60... If so then a bottled foxbody 5.0L fully built motor running slicks (whom I raced against) had a 0-60 of 7.4 seconds which is definately not the case.

it is his 0-64 time as he only trapped 64 mph..... I bet your buddy's mustang's trap was way higher than that.

i would say that your 0-60 is around 10 even cuz in a matter of a second you only picked up about 5 mph

wow, with just the 4 mods in my sig I ran 11.6566 seconds @61.47mph in the 1/8 last night, for a final time of 17.9057 seconds @ 75.55mph in the 1/4. I'd have thought there'd be a bigger difference in our times. You say your brakes can't do a brake to the floor, gas to the floor launch(called powerbraking I believe)? Perhaps you need better brakes before you get any more go fast mods. I don't even put the gas all the way to the floor when I launch, I brake to the floor and just give it a little gas until the light's about to go green, then I let off the brake and floor it, works alright but your reaction time is better than mine(0.6406 on my 17.9057 run).

^^^It is called torque braking

But yeah man. Go to the dollar store and get a stop watch and really late one night/early one morning (if you happen to live in a busy area) and do a 0-60. I don't think it will be that much faster.

Disruptorzero's times look to be consistant with mine

Aha, I've been misinformed, lol. Consistant with your times now, or when you had similiar mods? I guess I should also mention that my tires are way too big and rubbing with every little bump... it drives me insane, but I can't afford new ones just yet. I will have a Deyeme front motor mount if it ever gets here.
iufan4lifeul, I'm actually kinda surprised to see that you don't have a stiffer set of mounts, I'd really suggest that, I've seen a few pics on the forums of what stock mounts look like after you race too much. Of course if you're like me a small part of you wants the launching to kill the tranny so you can have an excuse to swap for manual, lol.

Ding ding ding! Hopefully I can get my evo before that happens though. I do have an excuse for my poor 1/8th mile times etc. From 0-20 my car feels like a turd. With the cam and ported head, I just don't have enough low end torque to get my car off the line. High compression pistons, turbo or supercharger would GREATLY improve my off the line acceleration due to all of the breathing mods I have. From a roll though, my car is a BEAST for what it is. In comparison. My friends manual 3kGT N/A ran a 10.44 with me driving it (stock) whereas mine as you all know ran an 11.1. If we both went from a roll my car DESTROY's the 3kGT, I will try to get you all a video up of it pulling from off of the line and a few rolls. That will be my project this week. A video compilation of like 0-60, 10+ 30+ 40+ etc. rolls. WHen I reach 4k RPM's you can really feel everything open up and pull. There is a point for about 2-3 seconds right when I shift into the next gear though that the car struggles before it hits the powerband again...

Edit: Struggling in a sense of feeling stock in low RPM's.. Not "losing power"

thats a pretty low time, but overall what i expected from an N/A lancer.

you are right about the reliability though, those are good mods to have. However i don't think i would worry about doing them unless i was going turbo, and reliability was at risk
