1/8th mile run

I am going to go race my lancer for the first time ever at the local 1/8 mile track tonight and will post the results ASAP. I will hopefully get 4 or 5 runs in at least. I have one last performance mod to do which I will be doing tomorrow and then getting a retune but after that engine wise my car is done with mods.

So, what will I run??

Well so far people think I am going to run an 11 second 1/8th or greater... VERY low expectations

Probably cause RRM's drag lancer ran 12s last I've read. I don't know what to expect, but I can't wait to see how an auto performs with those mods.

EDIT: I just realized you said 1/8th.... the RRM does 12s in the 1/4. I may be way off then.

We run the local 1/8th here... Granted Im in a Ralliart, 5 Speed, but stock I was running 10.1-10.2's all day long... Minor Mods got me at 10.0 flat...

I have a buddy with a Sentra, 2.0 Model, Automatic with a lot of bolt-ons like yours, and he runs 11.2-11.5 consistently... Just a thought...

Get back to us with some time slips... It would be sweet to see you run a 10.8 or better...

well, we will see... I am not "expecting" anything, honestly from a roll it is a very quick car compared to other economy 4 bangers. From a dig though, being an auto KILLS me.

I'm guessing 11s or maybe low 12s. Feeling quick is a very different thing than actually being quick.

Ok, the actual run went decent at best. It bogged off the line like crazy. Times were...

+ .3960 reaction time
2.5840 60 ft
7.2970 330 ft
10.4430 ET @ 594 ft
11.1370 1/8 mile ET
64.84 1/8 MPH

That was my best run of the night.

Not bad. So with all the stuff you did to your car how did the total price compare to just buying a turbo kit?

A little less than a turbo kit (750-1000 dollars less). BUT, I have a brand new top end of the motor as well so the reliability on that is awesome. Overall I am pretty happy with what I did.

Hate to be the bringer of bad news, but that time is a joke considering the money spent on the car. That works out to a 17 second 1/4 time, which is nothing to boast about.

Wow. That's a shame. $3k worth of N/A mods and you're running a 17 second 1/4.
