Deep breaths. I don't have any encouragement for you, but uh...yeah...the grass is always greener on the silver lining of every cloud, right?

I've driven both...I gotta say NYC's way worse. I complain about NJ's roads, but the Cross Bronx puts I-80 to shame...even with the construction going on. And that's just major highways.

On another note, keep in mind that most of NYC's roads were built for pedestrians and horses and buggies. Some streets are still cobblestones and some run under old L lines and whatnot. Non-existent turn signals aside, I hate driving in the city (At least NY drivers are better than the M*******s in Boston....jeez)

How bad is it driving around with 17 inch rims and 215/40 tires...I'm contemplating getting rims but I'm not sure if should get 16 inchers even tho 17 inch looks so much better. I see so many ppl around wit 17 inch rims, I was told as long as the itres are properly inflated, it shouldn't be a problem... I feel ya pain...I feel like my car has been to hell and back with all the dings and scratches

I just got my 215/45/17's on...no problems at all yet. Did some bumpy road downhill testing (poorly paved, pretty steep hill right around the corner). No rubbing or anything. If you want 17"s (and I think they look better than 16"s myself too) then just go for a slightly larger sidewall. As long as you don't go crazy speeding into curbs and potholes you should be alright.

Nothing personal, just an observation.
