Where Can I Get Brand New Parts for the EX Lancer (BOX SHAPE)?

ok so im thinkin of a restoration project. My dad has a Mitsubishi Lancer EX:

anyways, it needs some body parts like Bumpers, doors, dashboard etc. Ive had some experience with working on this type of lancer since my friend also had one but in way better condition. He put a SR20DET (dont ask why) and it ran like a BEAST. 11Sec. Street Car.

Anyways, i need body parts and it wont hurt to get some mechanical parts for this also

I would like to get the parts brand new. i know other car companies still supply brand new parts for their older model cars but dont know about mitusbishi.

Even if i cant get it brand new, where i can get them in great condition? im located in Trinidad which is in the caribbean. willin to ship it down here.

Money is not a problem but i aint gonna pay $1000000000000000 for bumper

any help will be appreciated. thanks.

Never even knew about this car. I doubt you will find brand new stock parts, but you might be able to find aftermarket parts brand new for it. Have no clue where though. Give me the year and engine code and I'll do some looking for you. You should start a thread in the show and shine section with pics of the actual car and restoration process. I think it would be cool.

This Lancer was never released in the US so parts for this car in the US are non existent. In Asia, it is very much alive. It is called the Box Type lancer.

Register in the philippnes Lancer resistry and they might be able to point you in the right direction.

www.mitsulancerph.org

hope that helps.

hmmmm ok. i think ill check out that forum but to drucea, im not sure of the model. i know some address it as the Lancer EX 2000 since it also came with a Sirus 2000 Turbo engine.

Just say its the box type lancer.

well mostly interested in body parts like bumpers and so on since engine parts and stuff are easy to get but body parts are hard to come by.

check the pics out of the plymouth colt and it looked more like the C61A lancers. Which i think will be the one after the box type lancer?
