Need HELP PLEASE!!!!

Okay, my wife was driving our 2002 Lancer and she was slowing (about 5 mph) for a stop sign and the car shut off. She tried a few times to start it with no luck. A passer-by said it sound like your timimg belt.....So I called a tow truck to have it towed home and was thinking the valves was done......

Today...I pulled the top timing belt cover and the belt is fine... was changed about 45000 miles ago. So I tried to start it and it will not start. It sounds like it was having trouble start like a drained battery.. So I checked the battery and it read 12.71 volts.

Next I pulled the spark plugs. The all are a light brown-tan color. Now it has Bosch Platinum 2 in it (They were changed with the timing belt 45000 miles ago)

1st Question: How long are they good for?

Now the coil pack with the long plug wire looks a little dirty not like the rest of the plug wires....

2nd Question: how long are the coil packs good for?

beside these spark plus issues has anyone else had this problem or something like this?

Thanks in Advance....John

PS: NO check engine light is on!!!!

Okay after lining up the timing marks it was way off..... I pulled the value cover and turned the over and it looks to have damage a a few valves...So with a 160K on the engine time for a rebuilt one and make it all brand new again....

Good thing was I was rear ended a few days ago in it by a drunk driving and he took off they caught him. Not alot of damage to the rear so they are going to have it fixed and completely repainted.

So I am going to have a new paint job, new engine and I will have the transmission completely serviced and will be like new...

Wow, that sucks! I believe GReddy makes a heavy duty timing belt. If you don't have one, I'd get one!

Well, good that the caught that guy! Sorry about the engine troubles, but @ 14xk miles you expect things to happen. LOL

Don't get the $100 Greddy belt, that's messed up. A prefectly good $20 belt with last 100k. I went 75k on my OEM belt and it was in mint condition. Now, the alternator belt was a different situtation! LOL Ribs missing all over; glad it held up!

It's Evo only, last I checked. You're posting in the Lancer forum...

Um, eBay means NOTHING to me. That place is full of liars and scam artists.

If they make a 4G94 belt, someone should tell GReddy. Because they're not aware of it...
