2008 Lancer - CF hood vs. stock?
whats the weight of the CF hood? cause im pretty sure the regular one weighs about 80 pounds.. im thinkin of gettin it so i dont get a work out everytime i check the oil..

CF hood is somewhere around 18lbs., I think. Stock hood is double that.

im pretty sure my guess was close.. lol and would the "vents" in the hood make any problems for rain and such??

The vents, according to RRM were designed with rain and snow fall in mind, so that they are placed in such a manner as to not allow them to affect the engine.

are youcounting on a cf hood for that much weight reduction?? why don't you just pull the ac or take out a seat

Stock hood is around 39 if I remember right. Ours is about 24 lbs lighter. That is a good reduction and best spot on the car to reduce weight too.
