My poor Lancer

Some blind woman drove right into my lancer - tear - and it was completely her fault. She even got a ticket from the cop on the spot. What do you guys think? How much is it gonna cost to repair?

oil was leaking and the front axle seemed to be either broken or bent pretty badly

Dude it's fixable might cost around $850-1000.00 to fix it looks like you just need is a new fender and headlight. I had to pay $2000.00 to fix my car from hitting a light pole

whoa. i'm feeling more like 2-3K. hood, quarter panel, bumper need replacing, lights... and that's just the cosmetic stuff. hope nothing in the engine bay is wrecked bad.

don't sweat it. her insurance will pick up the bill. inconvience, but it'll work out.

passenger door was bent and couldn't be opened anymore, oil was leaking, and front axle is bent or broken

are we still in the 2-3k ballpark or higher? - I don't really care how much, it is an insurance case, but it would be interesting to hear what you guys estimate

Damn the door wouldn't open? wow........

I'm glad to see our cars are durable

At least when someone backed into my back bumper, there was paint taken off, and i think the kid cracked it under the paint - if that's possible (paint itself isn't cracked, looks like it shifted though) but no dents

if there's something wrong with the door, and you're leaking ANY fluids, i'd bump you up to 4 grand easy.

hopefully, you'll be able to go to the mechanic of your choice and get your own estimate, then once approved by her insurance, they'll cut a check. that way, you can get an aftermarket hood or bulbs or whatever.

let us know how it goes.

well in my book its $816 can. for an axle 17-1800 for a tranny 500 a piece for sheet metal $350 for a headlight $1000 for the front bumper so i can see 5 gs just for parts labour will add quite a bit more im not sure the exact times but with painting id say about $7000 (if you dont include changing the tranny!) canadian or more. the parts prices on these cars is out to lunch! the front bumper cover is $408 the little ground effects strip on the bottom of the bumper is $603!
oh ya add the door 650 if nothing inside is damaged but from what i see if the door is hit its a minor dent repair + paint.

I think he's talking Canadian $$$, and I totaly agree with the quoted price he gave. Little things cost a lot these days.
