Theres literally hundreds of options. I myself would buy a 2'nd gen rx7 or a blown, dmg'd third gen. fix up the exterior with a widebody and drop a built ls1 in it. done done and done. I know I would do this cause I have a friend with one. lmao.
if you want a newer car. I say get a used S2000.

You can find used WRXs/STIs in the 20s if you look around and don't find driving to another state. In the end only you can decide if it's time to get a new car. Plenty of people told me I should just turbo mine but I didn't like that idea (even after buying a turbo kit, lol) but it's up to you.
Id say ditch the lancer. In my area most used 04-05 STI's are around 22k. The WRX's are under 20k, and the bug eyes as low as 10k. Today i saw an EVO 8 with 20k miles for 20k. If you search you can find what your looking for at a good price. It may take some time though.
tiburons suck.. my friend works at a dealership and let me "test drive" it.. it felt slower than my 08 lancer (which isnt fast) at take off.. and it says it has like 180hp and torque?? dunno i jus think it sucks i tried spinnin the tires and it didnt even work.. lol dunno if it has traction control or not.. id say 08 SI or Mazda6 theyre dope..
Yea man i frequent NASIOC eveyday and i dont own a subie. I own a lancer and ill be on evom for 2 months leave for 2 months. But really another thing to consider is get on these different car forums of cars your looking at. Look in the locals sections and se whos around you. One reason im leaning on a STI and not an EVO is because there is maybe 1 or 2 guys with an EVO on evom in my area. On NASIOC i found out to be a good 10-20 people within an hour away with WRX's and STI's. Local support and knowledge is always a huge +. They help you install stuff and you give them a hand. A very good learning experience. Thats just my point of view.
wow great info guys. i hope this thread will help others in my situation in the future.
the new civic si i have greatly consedered. it fits my criteria well.but heres my problem with it. i drove a non si civic and the throttle delay and that blasted rev hang drove me mad. i had a hard time with rev matching, especially heel toe. i use those techniques every day since i was a teen. practicully the whole reason i drive stick.
my question is, is the si the same with the throttle response. if so can it be fixed. or rather corrected.
thanks a lot though everyone. i never considered searching for cars to buy on forums. duh!
