I am about to get a 08 lancer and I just wanted to know how people like it or what should be done for mods once I get it?

I love it with a passion! And judging by the amount of stares it gets other people do to! There are a few parts out like intakes, exhausts, pullys, and suspension parts by RRM and works. If you search around the forums you'll find just about everything out there

 

How will this help you decide if the car is right for you? I'm sure the vast majority of people on any car forum like the car they drive but that doesn't mean you will.

 

If you're buying new, wait for the 09.

 

I'll sell u my 08 fully loaded GTS, with only 2,000 miles lol. I like my 08, but i wish I would have waited for the Rally Art, or even the 09 GTS. Id recommend that u wait a few months.

 

i love my gts too. lets just say its the updated Oz-Rally since Ralliart is goin to be out this year. the 09 Gts just comes with the Sensor Wipers, Projector lights and i think thats about it. I just bought this car so i can get my Credit Score to go up to 700 haha. To be honest though i like this car, better engine, gas mileage (is okay i guess). And i think we can use the turbo kits of 09 Ralliart or Evo X in the future. All and all it what fits you. Thumbups with Hydrolikz..we do get alot of attention on our rally inspired cars haha.

 

i say wait for the 09 gts with the 2.4l engine, i love my car but it is a bit slow

 

Take it for a test drive and see if you like it or not. Personally I wish I had waited for the Ralliart edition coming out in the near future.

It'll get you from A to Z but if your like me and like going between two points as fast as possible, I'd look elsewhere. If speed isn't your thing, then I highly recommend it.

 

Definitely no speed, but comfort and looks help make up for that a little. If you get one I recommend the S&S package at a minimum, otherwise shoot straight for the navi and tech package.

 

seriously, wait for the ralliart before you buy anything. by that time the 09 GTS should be out also so you can make a better comparison between the 2.

 

Yeah good advice. I bought mine back in the summer so it was no option. But since its already January I would recommend atleast waiting for the 2009 GTS. The Ralliart wont be out until the mid summer so thats still a ways away.

I'm diggin it so far.
Got the standard GTS, I upgraded all the speakers myself and added a 5 channel amp with sub, which was alot cheaper then the S&S package. (Just dont have a sunroof, ah well). Added HID's for cheap, just want to get projectors eventually though. Added some winter wheels, and next will be some new 18's for the summer.
The GTS has a bumpy ride due to the sport suspension, so if you're looking for a really smooth ride, be sure to take it for a ride around your area to see how you'll like it.
