Body kits

Anyone have any idea why most body shops don't do body kits?

I would assume that those that don't do it don't want to deal with fitment issues, cracking, etc. that could make them look bad even though it's not their fault.

there is no money in it!!! most wont touch after market because the insurance will always pay more than we do for custom work.

that’s a big reason - a long time family friend owns a body shop and he hates working with aftermarket crap

There are also liability issues if they have to mess with things like removing crash beams like the CWest bumper.

This one body shop in Jersey told me the exact same thing. Especially with the replica kits.

My side skirts cracked on install, and the "crash beam" had to be removed, but the shop didn't hesitate to take my business. In fact they want me to come back for more.
