Lancer Prototype S... a 5-door hatch
I like it a lot
Love dem' hatches. If the X was a hatch like this I might consider taking a closer look. Im not a big fan at all of the X's rear or the body lines for that mater (the concept X and the sportback concept were perfect).
US is a weird market, while most of the world likes hatchbacks and wagons, people in US have this crave for SUV/CUV lately which in my opinion are just jacked up wagons/hatchbacks that offer about the same utility while burning a lot more gas
Most so called SUV/CUVs don't offer any real off-road abilities nor are they any safer than a regular cars (higher roll-over rates). I live in US but I haven't seen any other country that is so image conscious where bigger is better as Americans
Oh and BTW, I dig the Sportsback concept, I think it looks even better than the sedan Lancer. I actually like the rear of this one.

I think its a way to budget down, they dont have to pay for tha last foot of the car
. but seriously though, im not surprised, cars get weirder and weirder, and if i see it in person it might look good

For it to be a wagon, it's gotta have some length to it. The R32 (which I assume he meant, because the only R34 I know of is the Skyline) is 167 inches long. Just for a random example, the 2008 Audi A6 Avant wagon is 194 inches long. That's over two feet of difference.

idk if i can put more luggage in the back, just my preference.
I would buy an Evo station wagon, if there was one available, as a DD. Hatches from my experience are not that much more useful than a sedan. Neither are most SUV's for that matter though.
They need to stretch that iatch and make it a wagon.
Or, even better would be an Evo Mighty Max
