Bad Mitsubishi
Bad Mitsubishi
Well, I usually just cruise the forums and read, maybe take a few polls, but rarely post. I guess I will come out of hiding and be my true wh0re of a self
ANyways, wanted to post my horrid story of dealign with Mitsubishi like most of us.
I went in to get the AD car (1 at this price deal) and they sorta forced me to get it a normal cost with 0% financing. Salesman also said he give me 3 free oil changes, couple of key chains, fix my dent, and scratches.
Come down to filling out papers making final deal, they tried to charge over msrp. So we argued for a 1 - 1 1/2. got back to msrp(under). Then says no oil changes and keychains. I was like helllll no bi0tch give me my ****. HE says fine 2 oil changes with return of the JD power survey (EMPTY!)
We like that's ****ed u lied. Anyways this was all friday night like from 9-1 at night. So we came back Monday to get my **** fixed. THey said they weren't gonna fix my dent and scratches. So got into another big argument and rescheduled. Since then had to reschedule 3 times...still my dent and scratches not fixed
2 days ago when I took it in for 3rd time to get fixed...finally they say they are gonna repaint the fender with scratches (reschedule again) and call out the dent guy again (for like the 4th time so another reschedule).
However, good thing was the head guy made the salesman (who mad 37.50 off this sale cause we haggled it so bad) buy us 2 key chains (7.95 each) cause he was waiting for the free ones from factory and gonna give us 1. Head guy also gave us our original 3 oil changes.
So we see if they fix my scratches and dent and then they made up for it. NEVERTHELESS, too much work, time, trouble to just got what was due to me rightfully :P
(excuse the lenght)

Yeah, that's pretty jerkass of the guy, but it's certainly not something specific to Mitsubishi dealers. It's just scumbag salespeople. There's more than a few in the industry.
It's like bangin' your head against a brick wall. You either: 1. Smarten up and stop hurting yourself; or 2. Knock yourself out, and wake up in the same place you started, in worse condition.
First thing outta my mouth at ANY mitsu dealer is always:
"Want straight tens on the J.D. Power survey? Fagedaboudit. Ok, let's cut the crap and get straight to the point. Wadaya gonna do 4 me. right now?!"
Kapische?

Yeah, that could have happened to you at any dealership. My local dealership is actually very respectable, honest and lives up to their promises. I beat them up on the price too (I settled at invoice), they were really great about it. I would send my friends there.
.
I had a little trouble with my dealer but not too bad, after about an hour of dealing with the price and down payment, i settled for 600 over invoice with custom wheels and 500 down, 2 dents fixed the next week (was the show room car) and never again back to the dealer. Reason being was i recieved a free oil change in the mail and when i went to redeam it, they said it was for oil only not labor or filter, pffft i was like whats the point. And then told them i wouldnt even fill out the servey.

Certainly not dealer specific any and all dealerships will do the same which I thought wasn't true until this Saturday. I bought a used Neon as a car for the mother inlaw and they were all nice and everything gave a great price (so I thought). I had previous good experience with this dealer had bought my wife's new car from them about a year ago so this was car number 2 with a potential for 2 more sales (not anymore). Anyway they went on and on how it was a great car nice and clean and they rave about how all there cars and checked out throughly before going on sale and also how they spent alot of money making it shine like a new penny. 5 miles down the road and it is over heating take it to a friend to have him put it on the lift and there is a big oil leak. He said and I quote atleast the oil pans not leaking. Call dealership and am immeadiately confronted with a I will see you in court. I was like wtf we bought this car cash an hour ago. They look at it the tech says looks like a head gasket the sale manager says oh it just a valve cover gasket. I tell him what the tech guy said he blows up like he wants to fight. By this time standing around in the 90+ SE Louisiana heat I am ready to go at it as well he tells me he will call me and tell me how much it is gonna cost to fix and he isn't loaning me a car and to find a ride home I live 60 miles away and I am stuck with no one to pick me up and no rental places open. I got some help from another salesperson not even the one that sold me the car she was off taking the next sucker for a ride. He got me a loaner from the used car manger d*ck head guy and the used guy says they are going to fix it. I am very unsure what they are going to do and I am gearing up to deal with the GSM of the dealership or the owner if need be. I will never buy a car from these guys again and it is really them who are losing out, I don't even know if the other salesguy was helping me because he sincerely wanted to help or because i had talk to him about a different bigger car for the wife and he was wanting me to buy a car from him. I have no trust whatso ever for any dealer. They seem to be your best friend as long as the are in control and way ahead in the money department otherwise the whole system is setup to keep you at the dealership as long as possible with as little info as possible. When you come back with a problem or concern no one knows you and they just look right through you and make you wait even longer. Wish me luck. I never have known of a business that idea of customer service is to intimidate and try to scare you into the results they want (wait the mafia uses the same tactics). Well I need to vent and this thread drew it out of me.
Like I said in the post all dealerships are like this to some extent you would get this treatment out of them all the time but they all have the same tactics in the bag of tricks. I am in SE Louisiana and the dealership in question is a Mazda.
