^^ I cant wait to get my 09 Lancer GTS! I'll be going from an 04 Cavalier auto with no luxury or performance at all, not even abs brakes or power windows, to a sweeeeet 5spd lancer decked out with sun, sound, nav, fast key, etc plus the 168Hp 2.4l engine

I hope they get on US soil soon

Anyway the sticker price on it was $28,500 CDN.

There was also an octane blue 09 GTS, with no addons. But didnt find a sticker on that. Personally I like the electric blue of the 08's a lot better. Its far more eyecatching and striking, than the dull blue of the 2009's.
I love the electric blue thats why I have it , I am not a fan of the Octane Blue I mean its okay but it a New color Evo's used to be Eletric Blue also (07's)

its hard to get 16 hp just like that. Our car is not capable of gaining hps with just Exhaust and Intake. Anyways...2.4l is like an N/A Ralliart.

I don't think it will cost just $400 to install a new exhaust and CAI on a 2008 Lancer, plus you would void your warranty for doing so. Anyway, reality is that a 2009 GTS with just a $400 increase over the 2008 GTS offers a better bang for the buck, but thats the nature of this business, next year Mitsu will probably think of some other way to freshen up the lineup and make Lancers even more attractive. But to all the bitter 2008 GTS owners saying that 2009 is not a better car for the money, who are you kidding...

Hi, new here, and I am going after the Lancer GT myself, the extra 16hp, isnt a big deal for me as I currently drive a sunfire, but wanted the 650w system without the leather. It a grand cheaper, but I loose the 2.4, and the 18" wheels, but I am going to change the wheels on it anyways.

here is a link to the dealership I am going through if any of our Americian friends want to see what we are getting in out 09's up north.
Mits in Calgary

Does anyone know if they changed the gear or final drive ratios for the 2.4L GTS? 16 hp isn't a big deal, but if they did the same thing they did with the 04-06 Ralliart (lower final drive ratio) that will make a bigger difference.

^^ If you look at the tech specs linked above, all the drive ratios are exactly the same across the trim levels

Are there any notable interior/exterior vanity differences between these & the '08s... I can't tell.

I didnt notice any difference between the 08 and 09, I took both for a test drive. The only thing I really noticed is that the 09 seems a bit shorter inside, but that could have been for any number of reasons to do with the seats.
