just wondering is 1 gallon is going to be enough or should i have someone go and pick up another small bottle, thanks

 

Lancer 02 oil capacity = 4qts
1 US Gallon = 4 US qts

It should be enough. After the change, run the car for a minute (to get oil into the filter) then let it sit for another 5 minutes. Check the dipstick. Even if you're short, it won't be by much. You should be able to safely drive to a near by gas station if you need one more qt.

Usually when I change my oil, I put in a gallon and 1/4 quart.

 

i put in maybe 3.6 and its full
