what's this weird checker pattern on my rear windshield?

I've noticed this for a while now...but at certain angles my rear windshield seems to have this strange checkered pattern...they're like small white-bluish circles... any idea what they are and how to get rid of them? they look really bad...especially after i wash the car

I don't have any tints.

my window has it as well. Its in the glass, no way to get rid of it. Im not sure what causes it. I think its some UV thing in the glass to keep glare down or something. Most cars get this.

Yeah. Tints should hide it pretty well. I think you will still see it at certain angles though.

I've always wondered what that is too. I've seen it mostly on newer cars though, including Bimmers and Benzes, so I'm guessing it's no big deal other than the look. May even have something to the technology back there???
