What to do? Thinking about returning!

Well after a long time I'm thinking about having a return to do some mods to my 03 ES. My miles are still low...around the 68K mark. I attempted to get an Evo over a yr ago and it never worked out so now I'm thinking about just updating my car . I don't owe anything on it and I highly doubt I'm going to get a new car anytime soon so why not just get some new mods done?

As of now I have:

K&N cone filter
Kamikaze headers and downpipe
Magnaflow cat-back exhaust

I'm going to order some new rims over the weekend since I hit a huge pothole over a month ago and damaged my old rims. Going to order the Enkei ES6 in gunmetal 17".

Thinking about ordering the RRM lightweight pulley again, along with the bored throttle bottle, intake manifold and the piggyback

I just wanted to see what others thought about my situation. I know, do what you want to do but I still wanted to hear what others thought.

Thanks

If you have a decent budget for new mods just go turbo. Check around for used kits on the forums or even make your own DIY kit. Since you're just trying to spend some cash on the car might as well go big.

Go turbo or go home, the mods you've listed won't do much, at least not enough to warrant the cost.

Boost!

Maybe out of the three you listed, if you go turbo, you will only really be able to keep the cat-back.

But, as a magnaflow owner, it's only real benefit for NA is a better sound.

And the rest of the mods won't help you much either if you are going NA.

So, save your money, wait for someone's part out or sales, and start buying turbo goodies.

I like the sound of that but I also like the sound of not having a car payment too which is where I'm at now.

Roughly what would a used turbo for an automatic cost?

Most mods will give u a slight gain and u would need a lot of parts to feel a huge difference so turbo would be the best bet..heres a suggestion..why not trade in ur es for an evo and have low monthly paments or wait till the new ralliart comes out and trade it in for even less of monthly paments.

You could trade in for an EVO and be another guy with an EVO. Or you can keep your car and be one of the few that has a custom boosted Lancer.

Just think about where you want to go. Do you want to pull big numbers? Go for the EVO, it sits in another class of cars. Or stick with your "econo box" and try to do something different. Of course, either way you go you will be spending tons of money.

It all boils down to what you want to do and where you want to go.

I used to have an 02 OZ. I did some mods and didn't pull very good numbers, and with a piggy ECU ran like crap. I now have an Evo and love it. The Tcase went but the dealer is fixing it for free. I would def get an evo. There's nothing like it.

I had AEM cold air intake
Ver. 2 piggy ECU
Intake manifold
Throttle Body
Cat back exhaust
Crank pully
Header

There wasn't a huge difference.

PM sent your way SlvrOz117

I did contact a member about their Evo and it's at a dealer right now for sale. I'd like to go check it out. I was hoping to find an 03 Evo with around 30K miles for under $20K. If I could get around $4K for my car plus another $5-$6K cash...my payments would be low $200s....BUT I need all those things to happen

I suggest the 4g93 manifold, best upgrade for the money if you want my opinion. You can pick one up for about 50$ and port it your self. Pulls awesome, sounds awesome. Plus, I also think it would help a lot if you plan of going turbo. Since its the only way of making power from our engines.
