Different models?

Can anyone tell me what the real difference is between an evo gsr, rs, and rs2. Especially the rs and rs2, as I already know the gsr is top of the line. Info about the GTA need not apply. Ive learned all I need to know about that smack in the face to all evolutions. (automatic and optional smaller spoiler, no hood vents?!?!)

The RS is bone stock. Has no stereo, 15 inch steel wheels (obviously a cost saving measure to the consumer since if you're going to race the thing, you're gettin better wheels). It has no climate control whatsoever in the form of A/C or anything. No power windows, locks, or mirrors. Pretty much it's a car designed and ready to be race prepped. The name of the game here is weight savings. The RS2 adds some of the basic amenities like an A/C but it is still lighter and more readily race prepped than the GSR. There are tons more differences that I'm sure other members can tell about.

Thanks man, its awesome to know that thecheaper car is actually better in the way of speed. A/C is a must though. I could care less about power windows and locks, but a stereo unfortunately is also a must, as I have to have an annoying song blasting as I blow away the compettition. Do you know if recaros are also standard in the rs or rs2?

Recarcos...

That's a damn good question about the Recarcos...if anything I'd say no on the RS, yes on the RS2...but I'm not to sure. My logic is, if you're going to race an RS, it may make more sense to have a cheaper lighter seat, and make it easily replaceable with a lightweight race seat. Again, following the logic of race prep, and realizes that a lot of stuff gets tossed in that process.

Hehehe...there is nothing higher than GSR from the factory...unless you happen to mean an Extreme or Zero Fighter (from Ralliart UK though)...oh baby...

So the rs450 is what model? I know it sounds like a naive question, and I apologize, but to me, any evolution is a hot car. Im not too familiar with the variations.

Heheheh...450...think horsepower...but don't plan on ever getting one or seeing one anytime in the near (hell, maybe even distant future). Pretty much all of hte Evo super breeds are done up by Ralliart UK.

Thanks bro, that info was pretty useful. An rs450 would be overkill for me anyway. I'll be happy with whatever model we get, rs, gsr, whatever man. as long as we can get it in manual trans

I have the spec sheet from Mitsubishi on the EVO RS-II LHD that I am getting.

RS-II has everything except this:

Manual A/C replaces the Climate control on a GSR
No rear wiper
Low-slung suspension (maybe like the TME)

Other wise it has all the good stuff, Sports ABS, AYC, ACD the GSR seats, Titanium Turbo, Brembos and 17" wheels.

The RS450, RSX and extremes are build from EVO RS

RS and RSII have shorter gearing for better acceleration but lower top speed. I think it also loses some sound deadening material.
