So whats the best mpg you have gotten in your lancer?

Today I was able to get up to 39.3 avg mpg. I was pretty stoked about that.

How do you guys get in the 30s?

I was averaging about 21 city 28 highway, then I switched to 87 octane gas (from 89 octane) since I realized that's what I should be using, and mileage seems to have dropped to lower 20s for city and mid 20s for highway.

My car has about 2500 miles. Should I be driving slower? I can't really stand going below 80!

I usually get between 24-28 urban driving....no cities in PR...lol....and about 28-32 highway. Most I have gotten was 36...highway...early morning when I came out of work...about 65 degress F. I remind 65 F. is awefully cold for me here in PR...I mean 65 F. and I sleep with a thick *** quilt...lol...

i'm running mobile one synthetic oil and i just set cruise control to 65ish. gas milage drops pretty bad after 60 mph. i had to coast and accelerate quite a bit because of traffic but i just used the buttons on the steering wheel, i didn't use the gas or brakes almost the whole way home.

Some Improvement

20mpg mixed (a lot of boost) driving and about 23mpg highway before modifications.

20mpg mixed (a lot of boost) driving and 28mpg highway (when I stay off boost) after modifications.
