Back when I had my lancer I had BFG G-Force Sports and they were pretty damn good for the price. I now have Falken FK-452s and was very surprised at how well they performed on the track, even with a novice driver and bad habits (like trail braking and going in to corners hot) they still have those little filaments that you see on new tires.

Im with Amby. I have BFG G-Force sports and love them to death. I had Toyo Proxes 4's before those and they sucked. no traction, soft side wall. did not like anything about them except the tread pattern. for the price. the BFG's are awsome imo.

HMMMM buddy you are in luck for a couple of reasons

A. First off I work for discount tire, so I see a lot of these. These are... honestly the cheapest (price-wise) low-profile directional tire we sell. Having said that they're definitely the best bang for your buck. They get great ratings, reviews, etc. Plus all the times I've had to balance them... they're damn near perfect, cadillac perfect < That's my knowledge of them from a Tire shop perspective.

From my personal experience, because I have a set of these on myself Since they're low profile you can really feel the road... then again you already have low-pros so you know this... They ride great, no vibrations at all, road noise is eh... decent... they don't make a whole lot. As far as grip and traction go... They're sub-par at best. If you plan on really grabbing the pavement going round corners these aren't for you, the rubber's made of a slightly harder compound for better tread life, but you sacrifice a lot of grip there.

So all in all they're a pretty decent tire, I'd recommend them especially if you're on a budget like me. If you're looking to spend a little more though... I highly recommend Yokohama S- Drives or Toyo Proxes, I've heard a lot of really good things about those tires, My next set will definitely be one of these 2.

How do these handle in the rain? I was looking at these for my next tires

I have yokohama parada spec 2's. I love em. I think they are pretty sticky, good tread life, rain traction is great, low road noise, And for 1 tire on 17's they go for around $98.

BFG G-Force sports saved my *** a few times.

Had some Falken Ziex that were ok, but didn't last very long.

However I haven't ever ran the BFGs on the track yet. So I don't know how well they stand up to autox and the like.

The FK-452s are really good in the rain, I was pretty surprised at how well they performed on a wet track.

just for referance. I autox'd proxes 4's. they would roll right over. didnt matter how much air I put in or took out. The sidewall just plain sucks and traction wasnt that great either. No complaints from the BFG's like I stated. Generally the lower the treadwear the better the traction is going to be. Falken does make some good stuff as well.
