aftermarket amp

hey guys,

i have a lancer 08 es w/o the ss package (4 speakers), not much mods on it yet just a set of alpine type-s components on the front and some alpine type-s 2ways on the rear. now i'm planning to install an alpine mrp-f550 amp to power my speakers but i'm having a hard time figuring some things out.

first, the stock HU does not have rca outputs so i'm just planning on running the some wires to the speaker level input of the amp. i already figured all the connections on the 20pin harness (from the lancer service manual) so i think that'll work (or do i have to buy some kind of lineout converter and put it between the amp and the deck cause from what i've read the signals from the HU is already amplified?)is it better to use rca's than use the speaker level input?

now my problem is the remote turn on wire, is it advisable to just hook it up on the fuse box or does anyone know which wire it is? can i just splice the yellow wire (from ignition) on the 20 pin harness and connect the REM there?

in the stock harness there is a remote (read ignition) wire.

that is what i tied mine too (although i have an aftermarket deck it makes no difference)
