need help with intake n exhaust????

ok i got a problem... i got the 09 lancer gts 2.4 liter engine....i was thinking bout puttin a injen sp series cold air intake and a greddy ti-c muffler... but i want power and i wanna save money cuz i want to turbo charge my car with a whole kit... so i was thinking should i just get a custim cat-back system(they dont make one for my car yet) and headers with the greddy muffler so a full exhaust and wait n save for a turbo kit or should i just go ahead now n buy the intake and just the muffler for now n when i save up get the rest of the exhaust and later on get the turbo?

If you don't mind me asking, how come you didn't just save up to get a base version Evo X GSR since it is already a ultra-high performance turbo-charged car? Even if you probably couldn't afford it at that time, you should of just saved up and waited. I wouldn't waste your money on upgrading on your '08 GTS now. I would save up and plan on trading for the X GSR...You will not regret waiting and saving for it.

It will cost a lot of money to make a GTS perform like an evo, more than the cost of buying an evo. You're lacking the power, the handling, the braking, the aerodynamics and the looks. A lancer with an evo body kit is just that, a lancer with an evo body kit, it's still doesn't look like an evo.

I would say just wait! Don't modify the car and later on if anything you could go back with your lancer and get a lancer evolution. A 8,9 or 10...i wouldn't modify your lancer if your gonna try to make it perform like one, just more money than actually buying one. Now turbo is okay and thats the best actual performance for your money. Now you said greddy Ti-c Muffler? Why Muffler get a whole exhaust system and if you can't afford it now don't buy it a muffler is just gonna do nothing if at all anything. Just do what you want to make it look nice if you don't wanna wait to get an evo...but i would say get an evo

Honestly if you know you are going to just trade it in for an evo, spend as little money as possible on the car and just pay it off. You'll never be happy if all you're trying to do is make your car into something it's not.
