engine bay pics of throttle cable

Hello - I need some assistance

Did they make any lancers without cruise and if so, does anyone have a picture of their engine bay that shows the throttle cable well as to how its routed...

The Evo's have an absurdly long throttle cable and I was wondering if non-cruise lancers had these in a diff (aka shorter)lenght, but run similar enough to the Evo so I can try and see if it works.

Thanks!

Why not just reroute it under the strut bar. A shorter cable may not help you if this is your plan. Not sure why your doing this.

I have heard re-routing it causes binding. I was just trying to clean up the bay and run a shorter cable, thats all!

I don't think they ever made one without cruise.

Also, the throttle cable wraps around the engine and mounts up to the TB. There's part of the cruise control sitting on top of that (don't know what the piece is called).

You'll see that when someone posts a picture.

Mine didn't have cruise, AC or power anything.
Here's a picture of a rerouted line. You can see that rather than have the line go over the valve cover and then back to the firewall, it goes back to the firewall immediately. I did it to actually help with a binding issue.

amby - Is yours and Lumpy's the same - your cable seems shorter, unless you have it tucked or something....

I tucked mine because I was having an issue with the cable getting too close to the valve cover and melting slightly.

It doesnt cause binding, not sure where you heard that. I have switched more of these than I can count since 03. Including my 2 evo's.

Actually, I found it searching, farmer. I was just hoping the regular lancer would have a smaller cable, but no luck
