Rerouted EVO throttle cable...Is it bad for the car???

I wanted to make the engine bay look cleaner and show off the valvecover area some more. Some buddies from another EVO forum suggested that its bad for the car and that the car will run slower... and that the cable can kink etc etc....

please comment

I'd like to hear from some reputable shops and other heavily modded EVO owners

make the car run slower? Are you kidding me?

Mine has been like that for about 20k miles with no issues so far. Finally got my sheetmetal intake in, guess I'll have to get it retuned soon. Gonna enjoy it like it is for a while first.

aslong as you dont have the throttle cable where its raiseing the rpm or caught up on something you should be fine for aslong as you want.

Yup had mine like that for about 10k now no problem. just make sure not to kink the cable as it comes through the firewall or it'll stick open and your car will keep on revving the first time you step on the gas.

Whether you work on your own car or (especially) if you ever have someone else work on your car, before you go anywhere be SURE to check that its not kinked or you may be sad sad sad! The way its routed here looks like how mine is.

Its only slower if the cable will not allow a full throttle.
