evocrazy Where does the harness go then?
Where they are now factory 3-pointers. I don't see the need for 5s for the car's intended use.

if you want cheap race seats i'd go with corbeau's. they're actually quite well made for how much they cost. given they dun have the space age tech. like the new sparcos with their spacecraft metals or something, but hey these are like half the price... just shut up and look good

and about the comfort level, its not like u'll expect better creature comforts by swapping in racing seats, they're meant to keep you in place, and not be nice to your behind...

sorry bout going off topic... now going back to the original posts, bout the stock Evo seats, i'll swap in red recaros first thing the car touches the ground... just cant stand two tone seats... in my opinion they cheapen the whole look of the car... hey i love the car, and i know this aint no luxury sedan, but atleast give us something more aesthetically pleasing...

and on a different note, something tells me mitsu aint gonna keep the seats J-spec... anatomically speaking we've just got bigger behinds here in the states... J-spec seats would be too narrow... i wonder if they're gonna throw in reds (yeah keep dreamin...)

Hey, zeroize, I won't mind having the original one on the EVO VII (6.6lb) while the older ones weight doubles that....

They're made with new materials newly developed by Recaro, and EVO VII is the first production car to equip with this kind of seats. I don't think these new seats have hitted the market yet...

Actually, the Momo steering wheel is also exclusively designed for the VII.

silly question

Here's a silly question...
If you get aftermarket racing seats (sparco, recaro, corbeau, etc) do you have to get it with a 4 pt harnass or can you use the stock seat belts. I like racing seats but I don't think it would be worth it to sacrifice the rear seats to accomadate the harness. Plus 4 pt harnasses aren't street legal, and it's gonna be obvious if you're using them...

yes, unless specified most racing seats would let you use ur stock seatbelts.

well i dunno if harnesses are street legal or not, but if you use it in a car with no rollcage, in the event of a roll over your head would be the highest pt. of the interior and it'll get smashed like a pumpkin coz the harness is keepin u from dodging,
