well...i was out cruisin today and as i was pulling out from a stop sign, a car slammed on its brakes, causing me to slam on the brakes, and slide right into the *** of their mazda truck . It ripped my front bumper off, cracked my right headlight, cracked the windsheild wiper fluid resivoir, dented the passenger 1/4 panel, and bent the hood. needless to say i got a ticket, and ill definitely be keeping a better watch out for this stuff.

p.s. nebody know the price from the dealer of an oem hood as im planning on gettin the dg cf hood?

 

its about the same cost to get the cf hood and the oem hood. the main difference is painting it..

 

..Which isn't necessary unless you feel like it. But hands down, time to go aftermarket on all replacable parts cuz it doesn't make sense to pay money to get your car back to stock.

 

If you are looking for a body kit to replace that front bumper and hood... PM ME!!

 

damn man.. that sux... if I did that to my car i would cry.... Hopefully you got good insurance and a low deductable... and try to rape the insurance company for as much as u can GL with the CF hood.. im getting mine soon on my yellow oz.. gonna also paint the roof flat black.. and try to get a cf trunk or paint that flat black also to match my gunmetal rims.... should look tight

 

My oem hood was priced at $325 or so then you gotta add paint. If you get a body kit, don't go through Shark Racing. I ordered one and I'm still waiting. Over 3 months later. Supposedly it will be here by this Friday but if not, I've already called the BBB so we'll go from there. Hopefully you can get it fixed soon. That headlight is gonna run about $250 as well so see if you can find a wrecked lancer. I got mine from a guy on here for a lot less. Good luck.

OK heres the skinny. When I wrecked my lancer My front end was toast, I am glad I hit a raised truck! My bumper and air bags are fine. However I needed a radiator and a new hood. The hood was $303 from the dealer, and the radiator was $400. The headlight driverside was f$#ked so I ordered an after market from some company in So cal. $150 Looks OEM. When The headlight was installed it shorted out all Fuses!!! I took it (towed) to the dealership they fixed the fuses but said my car was in a wreck and until you get your intake fixed your warranty is void. My intake was smashed too. SO get your **** cheap just make sure you get paint on your hood for these reasons: 1. the primer will ruin your chamois! 2. it looks like **** unlees you are me and you like your **** to look tore back so you can surprise the honda *******s!! 3. people know you ****ed with your car, so do something about it.

 

well everythings back together now....looks clean but decided to stay with the oem hood cuz im just gonna keep my car stock on the outside.... i like the idea of a "sleeper".
