Well, I was out driving with some friends today, doing some stupid ****, yes I admit it. Well, on the way back home, I was driving nice and comfortable so that the engine and brakes could cool off. I was about 2 miles from my house and came up to a round about. It had been raining today and it was the first rain of the year so the ground was pretty slick. I entered the round about and felt/heard the tires slipping. I immediately got on the brakes to slow more, this only made the tires lock up (wasn't on em that hard) so I was like ****. I turned the wheel to the exteme left and still nothing so my car ran into the curb at about 25-30mph. Since the wheels were turned, I did not go to far off the road, but if blew both of my tires, ****ed up my body quite a bit. and torqued the A-arm to hell and back. Taking it to the shop tommorow, and I hope I can get everything fixed. All I can say is that the stock yokohama tires suck *** when it comes to rain. Here are the pictures for everyone

well, the right tire is blown, and the rim is bad enough where the tires won't seal. The left tire is ok, but dented in the back and it will not seal aswell. so the rims are a loss. I am going to see if I can get the body shop to include a new window (since my window had a rock chip) and fix the ding in my drivers side door (I hate clumbsy people). Hopfully it will not take to long to get it all fixed, I miss my baby already.
there are shops that can fix completely screwed up wheels. Most body shops send their wheels out to be fixed and charge the insurance for new ones. I've worked in bodyshops for the last 4 years. but tell the insurance you need new wheels and get those fixed and you will come out a few hundred ahead.
thats not bad maybee 5g in parts and labor ill sell you my 4 stock oz 2 yoks 2 kumho tires one minor curb mark if u want 2 buy em for cheap then take the money insurance gives u (about$400 a rim +tire and get em and p[ocket some money :-)

im sorry to hear that. it reminds me of myself. i have the same color oz. I slid around a parking lot bend and slamed into a a foot and a half high rond curb that protects trees in parking lots. any way i messed up the front driversider axle, arm controls, etc. about 2 grand to fix. so i feel your pain brother
That's pretty crappy. I'm sure it's all repairable, but the cost might be a bit much between the control arm and body work.
Best of luck and drive responsibly.
And uh...not to sound like a vulture, if you want stock wheels cheap I'll sell you mine for $250+ shipping (w/ Goodyears and in very good condition).

I am just looking right now, but depending on how much the body work costs I might be looking at getting a body kit, because it might be cheaper lol. As for rims, if I can get alot for them and the 2 front tires, I will be replacing the rims and tires all around. if I don't get to much I will look into buying from one of you. Thanks everyone.

well, mine is going to be expensive anyway, the guy I take my car to is world renowned (sp?) for his work on classic cars and corvettes, but he guarntees all of his work, so I will be getting all quality parts and paint.
