If you are going to spend money and tune the car at all, get the es, IMHO.
You will save money and not have to replace the stock OZ stuff you paid more for. Unless you like the EVO dash cluster. Which is the only difference that isn't easily compensated for, my es has power mirrors. you can buy a bigger and wider set of rims, and some eibach springs for less than the cost difference of the es to the OZ.
This is my thoughts, but if you aren't going to do anything to the car and want a little better handling get the OZ.

The whole reason i want a lancer is to change it around LoL. imagine me keeping it like that and driving it around id just buy another car. the looks on the lancer are ok and the engine sucks but i plan on adding a kit, changing engine mods, buying 17" or 18" wheels/rims, changing the interior dash and seats... oh and the es does have color matched handles when you add the $500 option....the only thing that might suck about the es is the interior trim and gauges... but im sure they have gauges to replace the ones the es comes with no? i want a turbo to so no intake as of yet im going to do my body work/interior/sound then do engine mods since i have time to wait for a turbo to come out and be dyno'd to see what i can do. and i also need a turbo on the eastcoast cause im not going to cali just for a turbo LoL
i thank everyone that is replying and ading there opinions to my questions. just so you guys/gals know its really appreciated by me.

Well, I think the ES gauges look boring. They look like they would fit a minivan. BUT dont forget the ES has 6 speakers compared to 4. The difference is a matter of pref, I think. It depends on the person, neither one is BETTER, just better for each individual. I picked the OZ
so according to my last post with what i plan on doing to the car.... what do you guys think is better to get?> im thinking es since its cheaper and i wont have to really get rid of anything i paid for..

lancer oz
i like the oz becuase it has a sporty look too it compare to the es plan grandma interior.plus see if you can get the guy at the dealer to thorw in some goodies like leather seats ,wing and sunroof .that's what i got you cant get that stuff with the es can you?plus your car would have a body kit so there is no need to buy one intell you finsh moding the 4g94 engine to make faster then get all the show stuff so you can back it up .
oz stock
if that is the deal buy a oz and keep it stock intell you get the money for the trubo then put the turbo.because rims=$1100 body kit=$1400 springs=$230 total=$2730 thats not counting the shipping, installtion ,and painting of all this stuff your looking at your turbo money go bye bye for show stuff that make you heavier and slower but look pretty.that's what we call a ricer all show and no gggggggggggggggoooooooooooooooo.but your buying a lancer so who cares it's a great car trust me do what every you wont with your money .I am just giving good advice .

$$$$$$$$$$$$$
i got rims 17's i pay $1100 with wheel locks the body kit i am getting is $1400 the zenon kit and i got the springs for 230 and it was a other 150 to install them.i can do that i have some goddies under the hood and some coming soon just need to wait for pay day to order them.what do you plan to get first i hope is some rims if your getting the es.
Due to the higher price of the OZ, I think it's better the buy the cheaper ES and fix it up yourself. Even after they buy the OZ, I see people buying new wheels and other stuff. It makes sense to buy the ES Model and put your money into it.
