Lancer Oz VS Es

Opinions on this topic. i want an oz but might not be able to get one should i still buy an es manual? wats the big differences and do they make the oz much better than the es.... not just looks wise im talking about performance... if i get an oz the rims/wheels are gonna be sold and im gonna put new ones in anyway... the interior dash is going to be changed due to my color scheme that i want.
suggestions opinions comments answers please reply all.

No flame, just a suggestion. Why not just go to the Mitsubishi website and look? I just spent all of 15 seconds to find the answer to your question. http://www.mitsucars.com/lancer/specs.html

Performance wise they are the same. 120hp @ 5500RPM and 130lb-ft of torque at 4250RPM.

The only difference seems to be the wheels, the windshield wipers, power side mirrors and a possible spoiler. This is one of the reasons why magazines don't speak too well of the Lancer "OZ Rally". Mitsu gave it some "Racing" Wheels and then tack on the word "Rally". Kind of doesn't make sense to use the word "Rally" without any engine/suspension enhancements. Keep in mind I think the Lancer is a great car, not bashing it in the least or trying to start any kind of debate. Just explaining.

the OZ comes with a sway bar in the rear, the es does not

if you had a stock ES and a stock OZ, the ES would beat the OZ by fractions of a second because its lighter..

I just explained to you the differences, and gave you a link to the actual web site that will explain to you in detail the options on each trim level of the vehicle. Does it matter what you get? I don't know man, it's up to you. You know the differences now(however small they might be). It is obviously personal preference at this point.

The OZ gets some alleged "Racing" wheels, an optional spoiler, power side mirrors, upgraded windshield wipers...oh and I think I forgot the OZ floor mats! If you want those options then get the OZ. If you don't care for those options then get the ES. Performance wise they are the same.

Repeat(in case you feel the need to ask a third time, I will answer it now): Performance wise they are the same.

Here is the link again in case you missed it the first time around.

As per the Mitsu website: http://www.mitsucars.com/lancer/specs.html, the suspension is the same, other than a SLIGHTLY larger turning diameter and larger tires.

ok if theres no difference in OZ handling and ES handling, then why does the ES not come with a rear swaybar? just wants to add weight? i dont think so, they put it there for a reason, IMO the OZ has just a tad bit better handling than the ES

my $.02

also they have profesional photogrefers... think about it the picture looks better wiht the oz then the es right?...evern without the oz rims (witch are nothing to gawk at) the oz still looks better for some reason... maybe it is because mitsubishi isnt stupid and the "lighting problem" is an intetional add campaighn (i think i used the right word but you get my drift) oz is more money then the es oz should look better cause it is easier to sell ........also the sway bar on the oz is like nothing i think my pinky is bigger then it it couldnt possibly do that much get an intake and slow down goin out and puch the **** out of it comin out i think the .2 hp the intake adds should make up for the sick *** sway bar mitsu provides wiht there oz RALLY edition lmfao you knwo somehting even though i drive the oz im still ashamed of mitsu for makin that car so friggin whipped at least should have had a dohc............ to

Patrick (nylancer), I thought we talked about this ya ho. There is no differentiation in body style for any of the Lancers. Why would Mitsu do that seeing as it would add undue cost to their manufacturing process? Like liquid pointed out, the light in the Mitsu photos does change the appearance in the car but I can't say with any certainty that they made that lighting change on purpose.
