Accessory Belt Adjustment 2003 Lancer

Have been trying to adjust the belt tension on my 2003 lancer accessory drive belt (power steering and a/c). I find that the forward facing adjustment nut is able to move within a narrow slot as I increase the belt tension. This "appears" to change the angle of the tensioner pulley with respect to the other pulley's.
Is this a normal consequence of increasing tension on the accessory belt, or have I done something incorrectly? I do not like the idea of the tensioner pulley being skewed.
I tried loosening the whole thing up and starting over, applying pressure on the adjustment nut to try to keep it from migrating in the slot, but was not successful. In order to get adequate tension on the belt, I had to tighten the adjustment nut until it slid.
Any suggestions/info most appreciated.

you need to losen another bolt first.. (its on the opposite side near the header)
then you can tighten the tensioner, then retighten the bolt thats on the opposite side..

i cant think of the anme of it.. but its on the backside of the tensioner and it looks like it its a bracket, (mine is damaged because an idiot tightned my tensioner without loosening this one screw)

sorry i cant help out more.. maybe someone else can fill in where i cant think of the names..
